1-е до коринтян

Розділ 10

1 Не хо́чу я, браття, щоб ви не знали, що під хмарою всі отці наші були́, — і всі перейшли через море,

2 і всі охристилися в хмарі та в морі в Мойсея,

3 і всі їли ту саму пожи́ву духовну,

4 і пили́ всі той самий духовний напі́й, бо пили від духовної скелі, що йшла вслід за ними, а та скеля — був Христос!

5 Але їх багатьох не вподо́бав був Бог, бо „понищив Він їх у пустині“.

6 А це були при́клади нам, щоб ми пожадливі на зле не були́, як були пожадливі й вони.

7 Не будьте також ідоля́нами, як деякі з них, як написано: „Люди сіли, щоб їсти та пити, і встали, щоб грати“.

8 Не станьмо чинити блу́ду, як деякі з них блудоді́яли, — і полягло їх одно́го дня двадцять три тисячі.

9 Ані не випробо́вуймо Христа, як деякі з них випробо́вували, — та й від змі́їв загинули.

10 Ані не нарікайте, як деякі з них нарікали, — і загинули від погуби́теля.

11 Усе це трапилось з ними, як при́клади, а написане нам на науку, бо за нашого ча́су кінець віку прийшов.

12 Тому́ то, хто ду́має, ніби стоїть він, нехай стережеться, щоб не впасти!

13 Досягла́ вас спроба не інша, тільки лю́дська; але вірний Бог, Який не попу́стить, щоб ви випробо́вувалися більше, ніж можете, але при спробі й поле́гшення дасть, щоб зне́сти могли ви її.

14 Тому, мої любі, утікайте від служі́ння ідолам.

15 Кажу́, як розумним; судіть самі, що кажу́ я.

16 Чаша благослове́ння, яку благословляємо, — чи не спільно́та то крови Христової? Хліб, який ломимо, чи не спільно́та він тіла Христового?

17 Тому́ що один хліб, тіло одне — нас багато, бо ми всі спільники хліба одного.

18 Погляньте на Ізраїля за тілом: чи ж ті, що жертви їдять, не спільники́ вівтаря́?

19 Тож що́ я кажу́? Що ідольська жертва є щось? Чи що ідол є щось?

20 Ні, але те, що в жертву приносять, „де́монам, а не Богові в жертву приносять“. Я ж не хо́чу, щоб ви спільника́ми для де́монів стали.

21 Бо не можете пити чаші Господньої та чаші де́монської; не можете бути спільника́ми Господнього сто́лу й столу де́монського.

22 Чи ми дратува́тимем Господа? Хіба ми поту́жніші за Нього?

23 Усе мені можна, — та не все на пожи́ток. Усе мені можна, — та буду́є не все!

24 Нехай не шукає ніхто свого власного, але кожен — для ближнього!

25 їжте все, що на я́тках м'ясних продається, за сумління зовсім не турбуючись, —

26 Бо „Господня земля, і все, що на ній“!

27 Як покличе вас хтось із невіруючих, і ви захочете піти́, — їжте все, що дадуть вам, за сумління зовсім не турбуючись.

28 Коли ж скаже вам хтось: „Це і́дольська жертва“, — не їжте тоді через того, хто сказав, та через сумління!

29 Говорю́ ж не про власне сумління, але іншого, — чого б моя воля судилась сумлінням чужим?

30 Коли я стаю спільником їжі з подякою, чому мене зневажають за те, за що́ дякую я?

31 Тож, коли ви їсте, чи коли ви п'єте́, або коли інше що робите, — усе на Божу славу робіть!

32 Не робіть спокуси юдеям та ге́лленам, та Церкві Божій,

33 як дого́джую й я всім у всьо́му, не шукаючи в тому пожи́тку свого́, але пожи́тку для багатьох, щоб спасли́ся вони.

Chapter 10

1 Moreover,1161 brothers,80 I would2309 not that you should be ignorant,50 how that all3956 our fathers3962 were under5259 the cloud,3507 and all3956 passed1330 through1223 the sea;2281

2 And were all3956 baptized907 to Moses3475 in the cloud3507 and in the sea;2281

3 And did all3956 eat5315 the same846 spiritual4152 meat;1033

4 And did all3956 drink4095 the same846 spiritual4152 drink:4188 for they drank4095 of that spiritual4152 Rock4073 that followed190 them: and that Rock4073 was Christ.5547

5 But with many4119 of them God2316 was not well2106 pleased:2106 for they were overthrown2693 in the wilderness.2048

6 Now1161 these5023 things were our examples,5179 to the intent we should not lust1511 1938 after1938 evil2556 things, as they also2548 lusted.1937

7 Neither3366 be you idolaters,1496 as were some5100 of them; as it is written,1125 The people2992 sat2523 down2523 to eat5315 and drink,4095 and rose450 up to play.3815

8 Neither3366 let us commit4203 fornication,4203 as some5100 of them committed,4203 and fell4098 in one3391 day2250 three5140 and twenty1501 thousand.5505

9 Neither3366 let us tempt1598 Christ,5547 as some5100 of them also2532 tempted,3985 and were destroyed622 of serpents.3789

10 Neither3366 murmur1111 you, as some5100 of them also2532 murmured,1111 and were destroyed622 of the destroyer.3644

11 Now1161 all3956 these5023 things happened4819 to them for ensamples:5179 and they are written1125 for our admonition,3559 on whom3739 the ends5056 of the world165 are come.2658

12 Why5620 let him that thinks1380 he stands2476 take heed991 lest3361 he fall.4098

13 There has no3756 temptation3986 taken2983 you but such as is common442 to man:442 but God2316 is faithful,4103 who3739 will not suffer1439 you to be tempted3985 above5228 that you are able;1410 but will with the temptation3986 also2532 make4160 a way1545 to escape,1545 that you may be able1410 to bear5297 it.

14 Why,1355 my dearly beloved,27 flee5343 from idolatry.1495

15 I speak3004 as to wise5429 men; judge2919 you what3739 I say.5346

16 The cup4221 of blessing2129 which3739 we bless,2127 is it not the communion2842 of the blood129 of Christ?5547 The bread740 which3739 we break,2806 is it not the communion2842 of the body4983 of Christ?5547

17 For we being many4183 are one1520 bread,740 and one1520 body:4983 for we are all3956 partakers3348 of that one1520 bread.740

18 Behold991 Israel2474 after2596 the flesh:4561 are not they which eat2068 of the sacrifices2378 partakers2844 of the altar?2379

19 What5101 say5346 I then?3767 that the idol1497 is any5100 thing, or2228 that which is offered1494 in sacrifice1494 to idols1494 is any5100 thing?

20 But I say, that the things which3739 the Gentiles1484 sacrifice,2380 they sacrifice2380 to devils,1140 and not to God:2316 and I would2309 not that you should have fellowship2844 with devils.1140

22 Do we provoke3863 the Lord2962 to jealousy? are we stronger2478 than he?

23 All3956 things are lawful1832 for me, but all3956 things are not expedient:4851 all3956 things are lawful1832 for me, but all3956 things edify3618 not.

24 Let no3367 man3367 seek2212 his own,1438 but every1538 man another's2087 wealth.

25 Whatever3956 is sold4453 in the shambles,3111 that eat,2068 asking350 no3367 question for conscience4893 sake:

26 For the earth1093 is the Lord's,2962 and the fullness4138 thereof.846

27 If1487 any5100 of them that believe571 not bid2564 you to a feast, and you be disposed2309 to go;4198 whatever3956 is set3908 before3908 you, eat,2068 asking350 no3367 question for conscience4893 sake.

28 But if1437 any5100 man say2036 to you, This5124 is offered1494 in sacrifice1494 to idols,1494 eat2068 not for his sake that showed3377 it, and for conscience4893 sake: for the earth1093 is the Lord's,2962 and the fullness4138 thereof:846

29 Conscience,4893 I say,3004 not your1438 own,1438 but of the other:2087 for why2444 5101 is my liberty1657 judged2919 of another243 man's conscience?4893

30 For if1487 I by grace5485 be a partaker,3348 why5101 am I evil987 spoken987 of for that for which3739 I give thanks?2168

31 Whether1535 therefore3767 you eat,2068 or1535 drink,4095 or1535 whatever5100 you do,4160 do4160 all3956 to the glory1391 of God.2316

18 Погляньте на Ізраїля за тілом: чи ж ті, що жертви їдять, не спільники́ вівтаря́?

22 Чи ми дратува́тимем Господа? Хіба ми поту́жніші за Нього?

30 Коли я стаю спільником їжі з подякою, чому мене зневажають за те, за що́ дякую я?
